im trying to send user information from a temp db table to a main database...i need the information to be placed in the main db without coping the whole temp over...when i copy the whole temp over it erases everything in my main db...is there any way...thanks for your time...
Why not just LINK the Main Database to the Temp Database and do a sql update?
hope this help

that seems like a better option...i've been trying to write a sql statement in asp to update the other table and it seems to not want to work...i'm trying to take all of the information FROM tempusers_tbl TO users_tbl...i have linked the two databases together and that worked fine...here is my code...
Dim name, sSQL
sSQL = "update t1
set name = 't2.name'
from users_tbl t1 inner join tempusers_tbl t2"
