    Unanswered: Executing SP1 of DB1 form SP2 of DB2

    Hi all folks:

I'm trying to execute an stored procedure (SP1) which is in a database (DB1) and in server (SVR 1) from another stored procedure (SP2) which is in other database different of DB1 (DB2) and in other server (SVR 2)

But it seems to be bad because i get the next error

Cannot start a remote distributed transaction as the local server is not named. Please contact a user with System.Administrator role.

Im using Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise 12.5.0.3 in both servers

    Any ideas what's happening?????

    Greetings

You need to have local server entry in master..sysservers

add it by executing the sp

    sp_addserver "servername",local

No, you need to add only once immaterial of no. of stored proc.
You need to add 'local' server by using sp_addserver
so this parameter name itself is 'local'
