Unanswered: Newbie - need to programmatically filter report at run-time

I'm an Access developer learning CR9. My company has bought a boxed app that allows me to add Crystal Reports but not views, stored procedures, or anything else. Since the app does not allow data-level security, I need to develop a CR that can be dynamically filtered at run time according to the logged in user's id, returning only the records appropriate for that user.

I've written a function to grab the current user from the API, and I've found the system table with the app's user names. So far so good, but I don't see a way to a) edit the CR9 SQL or b) add a module to the report.

I looked into the CR parameter functions, but they prompt the user, which I don't want to do. Rather, I need to pass parameters programmatically at run-time, or else modify the SQL (unless someone has a better idea).

Can someone please point me in the right direction to solve this problem?

Thank you, in advance, for your help.

    Try the following.
    CrystalName.parameterfields(0)="ParameterName(0); Parametervalue;True"
