Unanswered: How to make a make table query faster

I have a make table query that gets data from about 7 different tables. It takes about 3 minutes to run. Would it be faster if I turned the 7 tables into one with a make table query and then run the original query?

Select columns Into tableB from tableA [where 1=0]

Are these seven tables linked or they are in the same DB? If they are linked and have alot of data then the 2 minutes is good. If they are in the same DB, try to make from these seven tables, two or there sub queries and put them in the main CreateTable Query
