Unanswered: Getting Access mdb data into another dba

I have a general question for the moment regarding transfering data from an Access database into another database from another vendor or program. At the moment I do not know the other dba format that will be involved, but would like to know from those who know Access well how one would go about transfering data from tables or queries into an Oracle database for example?? Or another type format of database? How is this done successfully?? And how can it be written into the Access dba application (in VBA) housing the data to automate the process? So data from Access is transfered into a sybase , oracle or peoplesoft dba?

    Thank you

you might try to link external database tables into access with ODBC and do a proper append query.

    thanks.

the main issue is whether it can be done properly and work with another vendors relational database.

yes, it can be done in theory but you might have to deal with type conversions in case if target db doesn't support the types you use in the access table.
