    Unanswered: Correct order of installation

I just recieved a brand new server with about a gig of memory. I need to install Oracle 8i, and Oracle 9i Application Server Portal on this. Can someone point me to soem resources that suggest the correct way of doing this as far as creating oracle homes etc is concerned. Any help is highly appreciated.

You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.

as mentioned, the install docs located at OTN will be very helpgul in this regard.
The docs have step-by-step so you cannot go wrong.
