Question Unanswered: ODBC Connection from Access to Oracle

I would like to have a frontend application in access xp that connects to an Oracle db without the user seeing the username/password. I would like it to happen when the switchboard opens and then close the connection when they exit. Any ideas where to put the connect string?

    Thanks!

Place it in the registry. for oaracle you may have to add userid and password keys in the registry.

    Help in creating this

I don't see where I would add this to the registry- I have searched on all my odbc connect strings that I have defined and they are not in there. Would I create a new entry using the oracle driver and then adding userid and password? How would I do this?

It should be under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/ODBC/ODBC.INI. There you will see all the DSNs you have created. Just add PWD key and its value. You'll be all set
