    *ark

    *ar*

ma* gets Mark but noth Ark

    *? find all entries

The above is when using the binoculars to find

But if using for search criteria in a query then it becomes Like "*ark" etc

If your using a query to look at a form set for seaching use this in the criteria

    Like [Forms]![NAME_SEARCH]![first_name] & "*"

    [Forms]![NAME_SEARCH] = the form name

![first name] = the textbox name for the query criteria to look in

& "*" = and anything remotely like your entry (that will give you the mar ark etc)
