    is the LIKe condition possible here? can you help me with this code...

    DoCmd.OpenForm "Employees", , ,"Name LIKE '%txtname%'"

    i don't know because i don't open forms like that.

    but a question for you:

    given "Smith", "Smythe", "Smack", "Smoothie", what would you like your form to do with LIKE "Sm%"

    acAnywhere, False, acSearchAll, False, acAll

    what does the False mean and what is acAnywhere and acSearchAll?

    also acCurrent?
    i tried to see the help in access but it is not explained there...
