    access IS a sql engine.

What, EXACTLY do you need to do?

Associate documents with an employee number?

That would best be done as an additional table.
oh yeah... documentation... I have heard of that.

    Question hyperlinks

The table are SQL tables and its in access forms and pages. The thing is you cant put hyperlinks in sql tables. So I will have to put them in a access form I just want to link the primary key (Employee Number) to the hyperlink because each hyperlink leads a pdf document. So you can see employee files online as well as off (physical folder). There will be one Hyperlink per record. Does That MAKE SENSE

    Read up on OLE objects.

And the definition of SQL while you're at it.

*hint: Microsoft SQL Server <> SQL
oh yeah... documentation... I have heard of that.
