    Unanswered: Crosstab changes periods

Hi all. Have any of you ever had this happen? I have a text field that is part of a crosstab query. And it is the column value. In this case, it is the consultant's name. For instance, P.E.L.A. Well, the crosstab takes my periods and changes them to underlines, like this P_E_L_A_. This of couse is messing up my table calculations, not to mention that it looks bad. Any ideas? Oh, the text field is a text type.
    thanks,
    dan

In your cross tab query try forcing a string to the consultants name like Cstr(<FIELD_NAME>).

I tried forcing it, but didn't get any results. Someone else said:
Column names cannot have 'periods' in them, because 'periods' delimit column names:
    DatabaseName.TableName.FieldName
Guess this means it can't be done. Maybe Replace on the form?

Figured it out. In the Format section I used the Replace command and just had it switch the '_' for a '.'. Works great.
