    Unanswered: Dupliclate Problem

    I have a table called Id Cards. I hav e a button called Id card. Now when the user clicks the button i want it to search the table to see if there are duplicate records. If their are i want to display a msgbox and the record wont be submited???? if their are no duplicates a msgx box displays id card ordered.


    Dlookup function any syntak will help thanks

    that is a piece of interesting code, could you please briefly explain what happens, it seems that something more than switching to the desired table name is needed.
