    Does Not Create TNS/Listener Entry

    Hi,

    Some new issue!!

Well now that the db scripts have been created successfully, it has not created an entry for the Listener and TNS as well, and i had to do it manually.

Any pointers why the script did not do so?

    Arrow start listener manally

you have an entry in the listener.ora in network\admin directory
as you are creating the database manually
you have to start the listener manually

lsnrctl.exe is the used for this purpose

    lsnrctl >start listener

will start the listener for the first time and add a service to you service manager
if you want to start it automally next time then change the setting in
    service control panel.

    tnsnames are not created.
you have to do it manually (as a server doesnot require it only clients
require it to connect to the database)
