Unanswered: Not sure what the best way would be...

I have a multi-page survey that goes into a flat table. Currently, I have a query that generates the survey ID using an autonumber.

The second form (page 2) opens using a second query using forms!page1!surveyID as the criteria for the query.

My problem is that a new record row is being generated when page two is opened rather than the data just being a build on of what was already there.

Ummmmm.... why are primary keys being generated on the fly?

    What data do you have?
What information do you need back?
What table structure have you currently implemented?
oh yeah... documentation... I have heard of that.

The PK is on the fly because it is an autonumber and is system generated (I am not creating it).

For some reason, the system is working this morning (when in doubt, reboot?). I have never seen Access behave in this manner, but will add it to my list of glitchiness.

    Thanks for your help.
