Unanswered: Create encrypted folder in the file system with VBA
I would appreciate code samples for the following:
1. create a folder in
1.1. a fixed/hard coded location on
1.1.1. the local pc using drive letter specs
1.1.2. the local pc using partition table references rather than drive letter
1.2. a location on the LAN using UNC?/Share names?
2. (only on the local PC): Turns on the encryption attribute for the created folder
3. creates a mdb database in that folder
3.1. using a specified MDW file somewhere on the network (UNC-link?)
4. creates a database pw for that db
5. copies tables (design only, not data) from the currentdb() onto the new db
5.1. and either linking those tables from the currentdb()
5.2. or refers to them in vba code to create ADO rst towards them, so that one can populate with temp data, manipulate, retrieve and put results back into the corresponding table(s) in the currentdb()
