Question Unanswered: tempdb: how can I move to another disk ?

I want to move the tempdb SQLServer database from the default install location (c:\program files\Microsoft...)
    to d:\mydb\

How can I do that ?

if it is possible to take the db offline for a while I'd detach the database, move the log to the other disk and attach using the new location.

Why would you want to do this?

What's your physical architecure? Is set up so that it would benefit?

The physical order of data in a database has no meaning.

well, I can think of one: the tempdb might eat up all the disk space of the C-drive, leaving none for the OS to recover or do anything else for that matter. I've had this experience once leaving nothing else to do than do a hard reboot. Ever after I require all db's installed on a seperate drive/disk (any other than C).
