    Smile Unanswered: Difference between mdb and idb

    Does anyone know what the difference between a mdb and a Idb, both are access files

    When you open any .mdb file, a .ldb file will opend which contains info about computer name and user type. And when you close your .mdb, the .ldb will also be closed.

    The .ldb is the lock file for the mdb in question ...
    Back to Access ... ADO is not the way to go for speed ...
