Unanswered: Migration + table with 2 LONGS

Hey all. Tryin to migrate a table from SQL server that has two columns of the text datatype that are somehow listed as being 16 chars long when in fact they house anywhere from a few words to long sentences. In any case, when I use DTS to move them directly into oracle I get an error stating you cannot have 2 longs in a table - which of course is correct. If I change both columns to say, datatype CHAR and length of 255 -
Of course, if I leave one LONG and one CHAR of 255 I get the same error...
it is not enough to accomodate all the column information in certain rows. Is there a way around this?

Use CLOB instead of LONG. LONG is depracated and suffers from many limitations that CLOB does not.
