Question Unanswered: The way to number lines

    Hi,

    I also have a problem :

I want to give a number of every lines returned by a SELECT in mysql, how can I do that ? (like RowNumber, or RowNum, in other DB)...

If it is possible, does this provide me to do data pagination ?

    thank you very much...
    bye

    Exclamation Um... Yeah you can...

r937, why would you say that?

You can use PHP to do this, but why when someone already has. Try EZResults (http://www.jvmultimedia.com).

If you use PHP and MySQL together, I also recommend his ezSQL. Top Notch.

why would i say "no, mysql can't do that"?

    because it can't

if you know how, please enlighten me

i do know how to do it with a subquery, but...

and thanks for asking, but no, i do not use php and mysql together

    i use coldfusion

in coldfusion, it's built right in, use the CurrentRow query variable
