    Unanswered: Getting ORA-00933 trying to drop a Trigger

    I am attempting to remove a TRIGGER and getting the error message a "ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended".

    I have serched the forum and beat my head on this long enough, any ideas?

    I have tried fully qualifiing the trigger name and placing the owner in the where clause, etc...

    Here is the statement:

    Drop TRIGGER T_USERNAME_INS FROM USER_TRIGGERS;

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    G

    Exclamation

    it is oracle which remove the entry from the data dictionary views and you just cannot play(DML) with it.

    you have created a trigger on a table and you can drop it just by
    using command

    drop trigger user_name.trigger_name;

    this will remove the entry from the user_triggers also.
