Unanswered: Access and XP: read dates from Form

    Hi

I have a simple form displaying dates (in a text box or combo, it doesn't make any difference to the problem below).
In previous versions of Access (not XP) I used to read from a query the dates in the forms simply like:
    select Forms!MyFormName.MyFieldName, .....

    This doesn't work any longer!!!
The query returns nothing (blank) or a funny japanise looking set of characters...

More, If I create the query dynamically in VB, it works. But then I don't reference the form directly, VB is parsing it and it puts directly the date with the proper format in the query...

It is probably something very silly...but I don't see where my error is...

    Thanks
    S

Try the other form of Forms!yourFormName.yourFieldName
    which is Forms("yourFormName").yourFieldName

But I think it will not solve the problem..

    ...sorry...it doesn't work.
    Not only
    select Forms("myformname").myfieldname
    gives the error:
    Improper user of ',',')',...

I tried to see what error I get when
    select Forms("...")
    and I have
    Forms undefined function

maybe I should adjust the references and their priorities in another way (I have already seen that XP is very sensitive to this)...

    Can anybody help?
    Thank you
