    Create a bmp file and name it the same as the database name. Make sure you store it in the same folder your database is in.

    Example:
    invoice.mde (Database file)
    invoice.bmp (Splash Screen)

    ...or u could set a startup form (Tools, Startup) and then use the timer event to close the form after a suitable number of seconds.

    Create a Form as your splash screen and put the following as code. in your start up set the first window as splash screen. the below code will splash your intro screen for 1 sec and then go to your main menu

    Option Compare Database
    Option Explicit
    Dim NumTime As Integer

    Private Sub Form_Load()
    On Error GoTo Form_Load_Err
    Forms![Intro].TimerInterval = 1000

    Form_Load_Exit:
    Exit Sub

    Form_Load_Err:
    Resume Form_Load_Exit

    End Sub

    Private Sub Form_Timer()
    On Error GoTo Form_Timer_Err
    NumTime = NumTime + 1
    Select Case NumTime
    Case 2
    DoCmd.close A_FORM, "Your Splash Screen"
    DoCmd.openform "Menu"
    End Select

    Form_Timer_Exit:
    Exit Sub

    Form_Timer_Err:
    DoCmd.Echo True
    Resume Form_Timer_Exit

    End Sub
