    Unanswered: Help!!table and multi-tablespaces

    In DB2 ,can i create a table using multi-tablespaces? i can create a table using one userspace and one indexspace, i means whether i can create a table using more than one userspaces and one indexspace.(as same as Oracle)

    Hi,

    Please specify DB2 version and fixpack level (command: db2level), type of db2 version (command: db2licm -l), OS version and fixpack level.

    AFAIK, a table can reside in only one tablespace ... The exception is when you have LOB columns .... In this case, you can define a LONG Tablespace ...

    The Indexes can be put on its own tablespace ...

    Having a long tablespace and index tablespace is possible only if you use DMS ...

    You can always use multiple containers to spread the tablespace across multiple devices
