    Unanswered: MySQL administration help

When I install to my PC (MS WinXP proffesional sp1) MySQL client and server v 4.1.2 alpha I can grant all privilegies for all tables and databases. Everything work fine. But I can't connect my server from other pc using MySQL ODBC 3.51 driver because it doesn't support password protocol which requires my server and want to update ODBC driver. But it is the new. I have tried it with MySQL v 4.0.18 or lower, 3.23.58 or lower but there was problem with grant my privilegies. It starts and I can't grant any privilegies. All tries are without success. Help me with that problem. I want simply run my MySQL server accesable from other PC's. Thanx

Apparently MySQL ODBC does support passowrds. Could you clarify what you mean by "password protocol"? Or do you just want to know how to grant privilegies on a 3.23 MySQL database?
