Thumbs down Unanswered: CMEDS .dat .idx

Currently working with a program called CMEDS, it is a proprietary program written by MEDSAMERICA which is now out of business. The database files are in a .dat and .idx file format. Additionally the program is designed for SCO Unix, and Linux.

I used a program called peek, that was able to give me a text view of the .dat file. But not real helpful since I'm not that familiar with database formats.

Here is a partial view of the beginning of one file (*Changed phone numbers and names)

    ./client/datapat/schedule
    scdflag
    scdrec
    idxscd1
    idxscd2
    idxscd3
    idxscd4

Any help or direction would be helpful.
PS* I've used the program Database Workshop 5.* and was unsuccessful.

    Thanks
