    Unanswered: Drop box and update

Our Asset Tracking table has three fields from the Contractors table that we need to lists the name, DUNS ID and CCR date that is generated from a contractor query. Any idea how to enable the combo drop down box to update the fields (3 or more)? I got it to work by naming the control key for all three fields and by using the Bound Column attribute. However, I do not know how to bind more that one column. In other words, I can only get the contractor name field from the drop box and have it update only one of the other fields with the DUNS ID (column 2) or CCR date (column 3). Do you know a way to bind one or more fields so that the combo box will update all required fields?

Combo boxes can only be BOUND to one field at a time.

You could write a small bit of code to update the other two values if you'd like.
oh yeah... documentation... I have heard of that.

Try storing values in hidden columns.

You can use the combo box to store values for non-displayed values. Each of those columns in then able to be accessed via code.

    cboComboBox.column(0) -gives the first column
    cboComboBox.column(1) -gives the second column

This should get you headed in the right direction.
