    Unanswered: VSS Integration

    Hi everyone,
Seems like Its been long time since I have posted..
Currently I script the database on every new version release and add it to the VSS is there any other way to integrate sql server with vss?
And secondly there are a few stored procedures which are not documented anywhere like dt_whocheckedout, dt_checkinobject just curious what those are used for ???
    thanks for the help.

    Regards,
    Harshal.

There are some 3rd party products available that have vss integration for SQL Server objects but I'm not aware of anything native within SQL Server

Here's one of the more widely used ones harshal.

    http://www.mssqlxpress.com/

    dt_whocheckedout, dt_checkinobject

These procedures merely read an object from a VSS database and give you the information or check in a SQL Server objects. You can use the extended procedures in SQL Server to "tie in" directly to a SourceSafe database.

I use apexsql's products. They're very good and cheap not to mention good support.
