    Red face Unanswered: Reporting in Access

    Hi there,

    Can anybody tell me whether Access has the capability to create a report on the fly from a query? I mean, by a click of a button?

    If not, can a report be created automatically if a user checks/unchecks fields which should be shown in the report?

    Thanks
    Smilla

    Yes, you can. Have a look to Create Report

    PHP Code:
      Sub NormalerBericht()

    Dim rpt As Report
         Set rpt
    CreateReport    ' Minimized report will be created
         DoCmd.Restore         '
    Show Report
      End Sub

    If you are looking for a function similar to the report wizard that you can call by pressing a button on your form, then the short answer is no.

    It can be done, but requires some coding. If you are simply looking to get a select set of data out, consider using Excel and check out http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.c...03&Sqid=869094

    good luck
