Unanswered: alter session (server side by default)

    Hi,

    DBA type question for you.....

I'm using an ETL tool that does not offer much in the way of being able to alter the session it creates to pull / push from the db it connects to.

Is it possible to have session defaults for a particular user on the server side...i.e. when scott logs in, the db server can issue or set the following automatically:

    alter session set star_transformation_enabled=false

    thanks,
    david.
