    Unanswered: Query Issue--Any suggestions??

    I have a form with a text box 'SHOP_ORDER'. This is what I want to do.

    User enters a shop order and clicks on go.On click a query should run and display other information(from the query) on the same form.
    I want to hide the other text boxes. Only when the SHOP ORDER is entered it will run the query and popualate and display other text boxes. After all the information is displayed I would like to store that record in a table.

    How do I do all of this?

    To hide the other Text box when the ShopOrder is entered, put this in the EXIT event of the ShopOrder

    PHP Code:
      Private Sub ShopOrder_Exit(Cancel As Integer)

    otherTextBox.visible=False
      End Sub
    Also you can put it in the AfterUpdate

    PHP Code:
      If Not IsNull(ShopOrderThen
        DoCmd
    .OpenQuery "Query2Brun"

    End If
    Hope that is what you want.

    Where will you be pulling this inofrmation. If the information is saved in other tables then it doesn't make sense to again resave it in some toher table. That doesn't go along with the normailzation techniques.
