Unanswered: Mysql Fulltext Search & Ascii-Characters
In the mysql-database, all special characters like the german "Umlaute" (Ä,Ö,Ü,ä,ö,ü) are saved as ascii-characters. e.g. the word "realität" is saved as "realit@#228;t".
Now, when I'm searching for the word "realität", the search is showing too many results. The search seems to do wrong with every word containing such an ascii-character. It even finds matches for a word like "kfdädfkdfgh" which doesn't exist in the database at all.
I'm using the mysql-fulltext search for a query and mysql-statements like the following:
SELECT match(cell.content) against ('realit@#228t')
FROM cell_2 as cell
WHERE (match(cell.content) against ('realit@#228t');
Can somebody help me please?

Reason: I replaced the & with an @ because this forum converts the ascii-characters inte the normal letters. Just imagine, that every @ is an &.
