    have been incorrectly terminated, or another application may be using system resources in a way which conflicts with DB2's use of system resources. System resource cleanup may be required.

    ============

    actually i installed FIXED PACK3 FOR db2 udb v8.1 on linux

    but before installation i have done this

    su - db2inst5 ( instance name)
    db2 force applications all
    db2 terminate
    db2stop
    db2licd -end # run at each physical node
    exit

    and
    su - db2das1 ( DAS owner name )
    db2admin stop
    exit

    now after upgradation completed succesfully, i m not able to start the database, please help me to get out of this problem.

    thanks

    Did you update the instance and the DAS?
    (db2iupdt and dasupdt). If not, see the readme on the
    fixpack on what to do after the fixpack is installed.

    Please read the README before you try executing anything else. It explains how to do everything for applying a fixpack. If done improperly, you can really mess up DB2.
