    Question Unanswered: About accessing resultSets

    hi everyone
i'm working on a homemade tool, which will be able to help me a lot in my future work (as dba).
i've created a special interface by which i can send requests, but i don't know how get the result back. how can i know the columns composing my result set ?
have i to decompose the request and analyse all the columns or does sybase offer the possibility to get these informations somewhere ?
for the procedures i can use sp_sproc_columns, but for the requests written in the interface ?

thanks a lot to anybody who can help

Not very clear about your request. But if you want to write generic interface it will be better using sybperl or db/ct lib.
