I would be willing to pay someone to solve the problem I have described below. Please contact me if you are interested.

    Problem:
The field (Event1) is coded with values
    i.e. 01010000001
AND I want to display words

Display the value of the SkinCondition field in the Convert table, where the value of the Event1 field in the table matches the value of SkinCondition control on the active form.

Example of the Expression that doesn’t work:

    =DLookUp("[SkinCondition]","[Convert]","[Event1] = Forms![SkinCondition]")

    Function:
To look up Event1 in the Convert table and display the matching SkinCondition for a value into a new field called EventID

    Table Design: Convert
    Four fields
    AutoID Number - primary
    Event1
    SkinCondition
    EventID

    Form Design: Form
    Three fields
    Event1
    SkinCondition
    EventID

What I want it to do is

Convert every occurrence of the value 01010000001 and Display Edema Face in a new field called EventID

Then I will utilize the new EventID field contents in a Report.

    screen.ActiveForm!txtXML

    How about:
    Code:
    =DLookUp("[SkinCondition]","[Convert]","[Event1] = '" & Screen.ActiveForm![SkinCondition] & "'")
Alternatively, if you know the form's name (example: MyForm), you could use:
    Code:
    =DLookUp("[SkinCondition]","[Convert]","[Event1] = '" & Forms!MyForm![SkinCondition] & "'")
