Question Unanswered: Report header section vs. detail section

    Hi,

I'm creating a report, and want the detail section to be 2" wide, because the data is arranged in columns, but I want the header width to be 8". But whenever I set the detail width, it sets the header width to the same value. Is there any way I can set the header width to be different from the detail width?

    Thanks,

Width will always remain the same for the whole report object. You cannot define different width for different section. Height on the other hand can be different for different sections.

You could, however, use a subreport in the detail section of the main report. Set the width of the subreport itself to the full width of the main report. Then set the width of the SUBREPORT's detail section to what you want.

It will take a little trickery tying the datasources together, but it will do what you want.
oh yeah... documentation... I have heard of that.
