    Unanswered: Online backup

    I'm running an Ora8 DB in ARCHIVE LOG mode.
    Supose I perform an online backup this way:

    1) svrmgrl> ALTER TABLESPACE <TBSP_NAME> BEGIN BACKUP;

    2) #cp /oracle/* /backup

    3) svrmgrl> ALTER TABLESPACE <TBSP_NAME> END BACKUP;

    4) svrmgrl> ALTER SYSTEM ARCHIVE LOG CURRENT;

    So the question is ¿which set of archivelog files do I need to backup in order to have a consistent backup? why? I read the oradoc but I'm not clear...
    Thanks in advance.

    Backing Up the Archived Logs and the Control File

    After open or inconsistent closed backups,

    back up all archived redo logs produced since the backup began.

    This operation ensures that you can use the backup and also allows you to delete the original archived logs from disk. If you do not have all archived redo logs produced during the backup, you cannot recover the backup because you do not have all the redo records necessary to make it consistent.

    Also, make a binary backup up your control file using the ALTER DATABASE statement.

    Yes, I got the idea, but when it says:
    "back up all archived redo logs produced since the backup began"
    it means since the ALTER TABLESPACE statement or since the physical copy starts?

    To be on safe side,

    Just before you start taking online backup, always execute ARCHIVE LOG LIST to see the current and next log sequence number. and backup all the archived logs since the current sequence number (including current).
