Unanswered: Move to record: How ?

Hi, i have an access xp form that is popluated by an ado recordset (which uses an ado connection to a sql server database). I can move first, last etc no problem but i am having a few problems trying to move to a record based on the selection in a combo box. My search combo is called cboTrust and has the db field "TrustID" loaded into its first column. This is the field i am trying to use as the basis of my search operation. Can anyone give me any advice ? Thanks in advance, David.

Set the filter of your form to equal the value of the combo box.
oh yeah... documentation... I have heard of that.

In this context, what's the difference?

Provided you're not pulling aggregates et al at the same time, you'll be fine.

On 2nd thoughts you are right, cheers . I wanted to have move first, prev, next, last buttons to still be available after the search combo had been used by the user, but i have now removed them and the search combo is now the only means of record navigation on my form.

    Thanks

    Dave
