    Unanswered: Monitoring tables

    Hello,

Is it possible to use a query to identify the 10 most utilised tables within a database?

    Regards,

    Gill

To find the top ten at a given point in time, use v$ACCESS - group by owner/object/type, get the ones with the highest count.

To find out over the course of a day - you could run the same query on v$access, store the results, and then check at the end of the day
Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. Club him over the head with a fish, he'll leave you alone.

If you use OMS, there are system defined reports that shows you TOP_TEN_TABLES, TOP_TEN_SQL, and so on.
