    Unanswered: spell checking a rich text box

    I have rich text box I am trying to spell check with no luck.
    I have a command button that when pressed it runs the following code:
    I am setting the control name to the rich text box....
    Dim ctl As Control
    Set ctl = control_name

    With ctl
    If Len(.Value) > 0 Then
    DoCmd.SetWarnings False
    .SetFocus
    .SelStart = 1
    .SelLength = Len(.Value)
    DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdSpelling
    .SelLength = 0
    DoCmd.SetWarnings True
    End If
    End With
    Set ctl = Nothing
    End Function

    It will not spell check the field, nothing happens. If I run the same code on a memo box, everything works fine but, I need the rich text functionality...

    One difference between text fields & memo fields is the property "Enter Key Behavior" which is set to default in a text box and as "New Line in Field". I doubt this will do it for you, but I don't understand what you mean by "I am setting the control name to the rich text box... I need the rich text functionality.". Calling the control name doesn't change the behavior as a rtf text box. (Unless I am missing something here.)

    The whole point of my post is that the built in spell checker is only working on text and memo fields. It will not attempt to spell check a rich text box. I should never have posted the code.
