    Unanswered: SP Version

    Hi everybody,

I am very new on SQL Server Database. But now I will administer a SQL Server Database too.
My doubt is: how can I know wich SP is installed in my SQL Server Database. The version is 8.00.194.
But I don't know the Service Pack installed....

    Thank you all,
    Nadia

See ServerProperty() in the BOL. As an example for your request, I'd use:
    Code:
    SELECT ServerProperty('ProductLevel')
    -PatP

You would be on the RTM version, which means if there was a DBA before you he was a freaking idiot. You need to walk your little fingers right over to www.microsoft.com, download, and apply Service Pack 3a. You then need to repeat this process until every SQL Server anywhere near your company's network is at the same level. After this, if you had a DBA you need to tell us his name, so we know never to hire the moron.

Oh, and welcome to SQL Server.

When life gives you a lemon, fire the DBA.
