    Unanswered: Updating Auto-Date

    I have a database that we use to track the dates when people are due for certifications. I'm not really good with access and i need to know how I would go about changing the auto-date feature. Like if i put in August 05 2004 it automatically displays in another box the exact date six months out from that date. How can i change it to be nine months instead.

    It has probably been done using the dateadd function

    dateadd("m",6,[yourfield]) , change the 6 to 9...

    The only code listed with the form i'm looking at is:

    Option Compare Database 'Use database order for string comparisons

    Sub Command58_Click()
    On Error GoTo Err_Command58_Click

    DoCmd.Close

    Exit_Command58_Click:
    Exit Sub

    Err_Command58_Click:
    MsgBox Err.Description
    Resume Exit_Command58_Click

    End Sub
    Sub Command79_Click()
    On Error GoTo Err_Command79_Click

    DoCmd.DoMenuItem acFormBar, acEditMenu, 8, , acMenuVer70
    DoCmd.DoMenuItem acFormBar, acEditMenu, 6, , acMenuVer70

    Exit_Command79_Click:
    Exit Sub

    Err_Command79_Click:
    MsgBox Err.Description
    Resume Exit_Command79_Click

    End Sub

    Private Sub AFQC_Due_BeforeUpdate(Cancel As Integer)

    End Sub

    Sub Command85_Click()
    On Error GoTo Err_Command85_Click

    DoCmd.Close

    Exit_Command85_Click:
    Exit Sub

    Err_Command85_Click:
    MsgBox Err.Description
    Resume Exit_Command85_Click

    End Sub

    The actual box i am wanting to update is:
    Private Sub AFQC_Due_BeforeUpdate(Cancel As Integer)

    But i don't see any date references there.
    Thanks for your input.
