Angry Unanswered: No data to print

    Hello Guys,

I am hard time printing "No data to print" when there are no records to returned by the report. Rightnow the report prints without data but with all column headings. I would appreciate hearing from you soon.

    Thanks

You can place a text column on the report that says "No Data". Then on the format tab, click the formula button for the "Suppress" option. Place a row count summary in there, something like

    Count ({Order.OrderID}) > 0

If there is more than 1 row retreived, it will suppress the column (invisible). Otherwise it will appear.

You can post a details section with text 'No records found" and then format the section with a suppress formula:
IF IsNull (Field))Then FALSE ELSE TRUE

where Field = something you know the report must have in order to be populated.
