    Unanswered: ASE 12.5 and PHP

    Hi there,

    I have to connect to ASE 12.5 using PHP (I installed php 5.0 first with Apache 2, but as I always received segmentation faults, I then switched to apache 1.3).

    I compiled PHP with, amongst other configure options, with --with-sybase-ct=/opt/sybase/OCS-12_5
    since ---with-sybase=/opt/sybase
    didn't work, always complaining it couldn't find some .h file somewhere.

    To make it all work, I've also compiled FreeTDS, version 0.62-4

    As I try to connect using PHP function sybase_connect I always get "login error" / "login incorrect".

    I use an entry in the freetds.conf file which is equal to that present in the interfaces file.
    This entry works while connecting via isql or tsql, so why I cannot connect to Sybase ASE with PHP ?

    I need to use ASE because I need to access data in that format (it is not my choice).

    Thank a lot for any ideas ...

    The create connection should look like;
    $connection = sybase_connect("servername","username","password") ;
