    Unanswered: db close event?

    how can i capute the event of a user clicking the close button in access (not on a form)

    Not quite sure what you mean here...

    Do you mean when they close access completely?

    Or when they use the close button in the dialog of a form?

    Could you rephrase your question?

    close access completely.


    i tried using a hidden form and fire the onclose or unload event with no luck

    The hidden form works fine, at least in my projects.

    - Make sure that you've opened the form (DoCmd.OpenForm "FormName") unless you won't get any event, of course.

    - Breakpoints and "Stop" commands will not work when closing access completely. To test whether the event is fired or not, use MsgBox or logfiles.
