    Question Unanswered: Parsing parameters between Form-Module-Form

    Hi.

    By using a parameter in a function call from a form its possible to parse values to a module.
    But is it possible to let the module return a value (string) back to the form from where the call was made?

    Thanks for any proposals

    Sincerely

    Yes! instead of using a sub use funtion and return the value of the function to its calling reference call ... e.g following custom function takes the time and returns a string

    Function MAEN(datetime As Date) As String
    ' MAEN = Morning, Afternoon, Evening and Night - just the name of the function
    Select Case datetime
    Case #12:00:00 AM# To #11:59:59 AM#
    MAEN = "Morning"
    Case #12:00:00 PM# To #4:59:59 PM#
    MAEN = "Afternoon"
    Case #5:00:00 PM# To #6:59:59 PM#
    MAEN = "Evening"
    Case #7:00:00 PM# To #11:59:59 PM#
    MAEN = "Night"
    End Select
    End Function

    In a form I call the function MAEN like this: MAEN Now()
    But how can I display the result MAEN in my form.
    Using Msgbox MAEN does not function

    Talking Mission completed

    Omit my last question. It functions fine.
    Thanks a lot.

    This completed my multi language solution for:
    All text on forms, form caption, page captions, message boxes, control tip text, text boxes and text in combo boxes.
    It functions on forms, sub forms, subsub forms and subsubsub forms.
    (actually as many levels as you like)
    The solution is not yet implemented in reports, but thats now a piece of cake.

    Sincerely
    Vestigo
