    Unanswered: SQL*Loader & Shell

    Hi

I am using shell scripting to use the SQL*Loader utility.
this shell script is to be reused in every 10 days. But the flat file name will be different in each case. As the flat file name has to be mentioned in .ctl file
do the user have to change the flat file name in control file before every execution.

Is there any way so that I can take flat file name from User as shell input and use that in the flat file. Jus guessing. If anybody can help so that user is not needed to change the ctl file before every loading.

Exclamation File name not necesary in ctl file

    Try:
    Code:
    sqlldr <u>/<pw> control=MyLoad.ctl data=<file name> log=...
The person who says it can't be done should not interrupt the person doing it. -- Chinese proverb
