Unanswered: Different Database Speeds Running Procedures
I have two databases that are identical except one is about 3 weeks behind the other. The database is a load of data from a main database. The larger database is Live and the smaller is Test, which has less data.
Each Database has only 10 Tables in it. There are no structural differences between the two and currently no indexes on any of the tables to simplify the test.
When I run procedure X on Live it takes 37 seconds. When I run the same procedure on Test it takes over 15 minutes!!!! I have run sp_updatestats on both and this has made no difference.
I would appreciate any help that anyone could give me to resolve this ?
