Unanswered: Disable right click on record selector

    Hi,
Does anyone know how to disable a right click on a record selector on a form. Without this disablement a User can right click on the record selector and Cut, Copy or Paste the details. I have just come across this 'feature' where one of my Users was deleting records using this method. Since it is inherently extremely dangerous, I have to find a method of prevention. I am aware that I can choose not to have record selectors but the do assist in keeping your place in a long list.

I belive you can customize right click menu in access forms. but I have no experience with it. probably you could create a customized menu and not include those options.

Found this in Access help. I think it's what you're looking for:

Open the form in Design view
Double-click the form selector to open the form's property sheet.
Set the ShortcutMenu property box to No.

Looks like you can also customize the shortcut menu under Tools->Customize->Select Shorcut Menu from list.

    ...

how about changing the form's data properties to not allow deletions?

I have my database protected so that the user can not right click anywhere. The form does not allow deletions. Alsotheir user rights when I set them up do not allow for record deletions either.

One question I have for you

is why do you have that enabled? What function does it actually do?
