Angry Unanswered: set up DSN on Web Server help?

If I try to run/preview my web site by in the browser/F12 it comes up fine and it submits fine.If I type in the actual URL to retrieve the web site that is fine too, but when I submit I get an error message.

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Driverserror '80004005'

[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified /Shipment/Save.asp, line 55

I was told I need to set up DSN on my Web Server.
What exactly do I need to do on the Web Server, I am using SQL as a database if that is important

    Thanks

Can you post your datasource code?
That which does not kill me postpones the inevitable.

who is your provider they should have details about setting up a dsn if you need to... having said that it is likely that they don't allow dsn connections and require you to connect using OLEDB instead of ODBC.

Using OLEDB to do your conenction you can specify the server ip, username, password and database to connect to and never need a dsn.

Don't use DSN, they are slow and cause a lot of problems. Use a dsn-less connection.
