Unanswered: converting decimal hours into hours and mins

I have a value 12.23 hours how do I convert this into hours and minutes.
It comes from adding 9 hrs 35mins and 2 hrs 39 mins.

Access has an extensive list of functions and well documented information in Date and Time calculations. The information you provided here is insufficient to provide you with the proper answer. Please provide a clearer description as to where the 12.23 comes from and what you wish to do.

I have 2 fields 'hours' and 'minutes' in hours I have the values 2 and 9 in minutes I have values 34 and 35 (2hrs 29mins and 9 hrs 35 mins) I want to show total hours which would be 9:35 plus 2:39 which when added together gives 12.23 which is not 12hrs 23mins it is 12 hrs and .23 of an hour. I need to be able to show this as 12 hrs and whatever no of minutes equals .23 of an hour.

    take your decimal: 12.23
    devide it by 24
    now its a time...

try this in the debug window (CTRL+G)
    ?format(12.23/24,"HH:NNS")
    12:13:48
